Visit alpacarelay.com and sign up for a free account with your email address. No credit card required. You'll be taken to your dashboard immediately after email verification. AlpacaRelay accounts include unlimited integrations, so you can connect Zapier alongside any other platforms your beauty business uses (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Klaviyo, or custom databases). Save your login credentials—you'll need them in Step 2 to authorize Zapier.

From your AlpacaRelay dashboard, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Zapier. Click 'Authorize' to initiate the OAuth flow. A secure popup will appear asking you to log in to your Zapier account (or create one if you don't have one yet). Zapier will request permission to access AlpacaRelay's Zap trigger and action capabilities—specifically, the ability to read your contact lists and trigger email campaigns. This is a secure, read-only connection; Zapier cannot modify your AlpacaRelay settings or delete data. Once authorized, the connection appears as 'Active' in your integrations list. Setup typically takes 60 seconds.

Return to Zapier and create a new Zap. Select a trigger app (e.g., Shopify for new orders, Klaviyo for subscriber sign-ups, or a form tool like Typeform for product reviews). Then select 'AlpacaRelay' as your action app. Zapier will display available fields from your trigger source—for example, if your trigger is 'New Shopify Order,' Zapier shows order ID, customer email, product name, order total, and purchase date. Map these fields to AlpacaRelay contact properties: customer email to 'Contact Email,' product name to 'Product,' order total to 'Revenue,' and date to 'Purchase Date.' AlpacaRelay auto-creates custom contact fields as needed. Test the Zap with a real data point (e.g., place a test order or sign up for your mailing list). Once confirmed, turn the Zap 'On.'

Once your Zap is active and syncing contacts, go to Campaigns in AlpacaRelay and click 'New Campaign.' Choose your trigger (e.g., 'Contacts from Zapier – New Shopify Orders'). AlpacaRelay's AI engine automatically generates personalized email copy, subject line, and call-to-action using the mapped data fields. For a beauty brand, the AI might generate: subject line 'Sarah, your new makeup arrived today,' body copy highlighting the product name and order details, and a CTA like 'Track your order.' Review the generated email, make edits if needed, and proceed to the next step. You can save time by using campaign templates tailored to beauty (e.g., 'Post-Purchase Product Care,' 'New Subscriber Welcome,' 'Cart Abandonment Offer').

Before sending, AlpacaRelay's 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework automatically scores your campaign across Deliverability, Mobile Render, CTA Clarity, Personalization Depth, Visual Hierarchy, Copy Effectiveness, Brand Consistency, and Structural Compliance. Your Email Quality Score (EQS) appears as a badge (e.g., 'EQS 87/100'). Emails scoring 8+/10 are flagged as 'High Quality' and show predicted open rates, click rates, and unsubscribe risk. Review the scoring summary—if any dimension scores below 6, AlpacaRelay suggests improvements (e.g., 'Add recipient first name to subject line for +3 personalization points'). Once satisfied, set your send schedule (immediate, scheduled, or on-trigger), click 'Launch,' and your Zapier-triggered contacts receive the quality-scored email. Track opens, clicks, and conversions in real-time from your AlpacaRelay analytics dashboard.
