AlpacaRelay + Google Analytics: Quality-Scored Emails, Connected
Auto-tag emails with UTM parameters and track conversions from quality-scored campaigns in GA4.
How AlpacaRelay + Google Analytics Works — AI Handles the 7-Step Chain
Based on scoring 10,000+ templates and testing across 25 industries, here's the optimized integration workflow. You connect once — AI handles everything else.
You Connect Google Analytics (Step 1 — your only manual step)
Authorize AlpacaRelay to access your Google Analytics account. Simple API key setup. After this, AI handles the rest.
AI Handles Step 2: Data Import & Segmentation
AI syncs UTM parameters, conversion events, revenue attribution from Google Analytics continuously and auto-segments your audience for targeted campaigns.
AI Handles Steps 3-5: Create, Score & Optimize Emails
AI uses Google Analytics data to personalize emails, scores every email across the 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework (which predicts revenue outcomes), and optimizes before sending. EQS 92 = ~$200/month revenue per 500 subscribers.
AI Handles Steps 6-7: Deliver & Learn
AI optimizes deliverability and learns from results. Engagement data flows back to Google Analytics. You see which quality-scored emails drive the most conversions and revenue.
What You Can Do with AlpacaRelay + Google Analytics
Campaign Attribution
Google Analytics UTM parameters flow into AlpacaRelay, tagging every email send with source, medium, and campaign data. Each attributed email is EQS-scored before delivery, ensuring only high-quality messages reach your audience and generate trackable conversions.
Email-to-Conversion Tracking
Conversion events from Google Analytics—reservations, online orders, menu views—trigger quality-scored follow-up sequences in AlpacaRelay. The AI automatically segments customers by conversion behavior, scoring each message across the 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework to maximize repeat bookings.
Revenue Reporting
Revenue attribution from Google Analytics feeds into AlpacaRelay's quality scoring engine, showing you exactly which email quality tiers drive profitability. Restaurants using EQS 8+/10 emails see 14-18% higher email-attributed revenue per subscriber versus lower-scored campaigns (Validity, 2025).
Customer Lifecycle Optimization
First-time diners, repeat guests, and inactive customers are segmented based on Google Analytics session data and imported into AlpacaRelay automatically. AI generates personalized lifecycle emails—welcome, upsell, re-engagement—each scored to maintain EQS 8+ quality standards before sending.
How to Connect AlpacaRelay to Google Analytics
Create Your AlpacaRelay Account
Start by signing up for AlpacaRelay at no cost—no credit card required. Visit the AlpacaRelay homepage and click Sign Up. Enter your email, create a password, and confirm your email address. Once verified, you'll land in your dashboard. This is your command center for all integrations and email campaigns. The setup process takes less than two minutes. You're now ready to connect Google Analytics.
Navigate to Integrations and Select Google Analytics
From your AlpacaRelay dashboard, click Settings in the left sidebar, then select Integrations. You'll see a grid of available platforms. Find Google Analytics (GA4 is fully supported; Universal Analytics is sunset as of July 2024). Click the Google Analytics tile. AlpacaRelay will display a brief overview of what data syncs: user behavior (page views, events, user segments, conversion goals, and session data). Click Authorize to proceed.
Grant OAuth Permissions and Map Data Fields
You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen. Log in with the Google account that manages your restaurant's Analytics property. Google will ask you to approve AlpacaRelay's access to read analytics data. The specific permissions requested are: View Analytics Data and View User-ID Feature (if available for your property). These are read-only permissions—AlpacaRelay cannot modify your Analytics account or delete any data. Click Allow. You'll be redirected back to AlpacaRelay, where data syncing begins immediately. Within 60 seconds, AlpacaRelay will import your top user segments, conversion goals, and event labels from the past 90 days.
Map Analytics Events to Email Triggers and Create Your First Campaign
Once data is imported, you'll see a mapping interface. Here, you configure which Analytics events and user segments trigger emails. For a restaurant, common triggers include: 'user visited location page but did not complete reservation' (abandoned booking), 'user viewed online menu 3+ times in 7 days' (high intent), 'user completed purchase/order' (post-order), and 'user has not returned in 60 days' (win-back). For each trigger, select the corresponding Analytics goal or event. AlpacaRelay's AI will auto-suggest a campaign type (e.g., 'Win-Back Email for Repeat Diners'). Click Create Campaign. The AI generates subject line, body copy, and CTA tailored to your restaurant's tone and the segment's behavior. Review the draft, make edits if needed, then click Approve.
Activate Quality Scoring and Monitor Email Performance
Before your first email sends, AlpacaRelay runs every message through the 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework (EQF), a proprietary scoring system that evaluates deliverability, mobile rendering, CTA clarity, personalization depth, visual hierarchy, copy effectiveness, brand consistency, and structural compliance. Your campaign is assigned an Email Quality Score (EQS) out of 10. An EQS of 8 or higher means the email is optimized for inbox placement and engagement. If your EQS is below 8, AlpacaRelay suggests specific improvements (e.g., 'Shorten subject line to 50 characters to boost mobile preview' or 'Add personalized greeting to increase CTR by 12%'). Make suggested edits, and your score updates in real time. Once satisfied, click Launch. The email sends to your audience segment immediately. Over the next 7 days, AlpacaRelay tracks opens, clicks, conversions (e.g., reservation completions), and unsubscribes. All results are displayed in the Campaign Dashboard. You can now create additional campaigns by repeating steps 4 and 5. Most restaurants set up 3-5 automations (welcome series, abandoned booking recovery, post-order thank you, win-back) within the first week.

“Connecting Google Analytics to AlpacaRelay showed us exactly which email sequences were driving revenue. Our welcome sequence was scoring 78/100 on the EQS framework—mostly weak on CTA Clarity and Personalization Depth. After AlpacaRelay's AI rewrote it, the score jumped to 91/100, and we saw welcome sequence revenue increase 0.2% month over month. That's recurring now.”

“We were flying blind on new subscriber behavior until we integrated Google Analytics with AlpacaRelay. The platform's EQS scoring immediately flagged that our onboarding emails were failing on Mobile Render and Visual Hierarchy. We rebuilt them using AlpacaRelay's quality framework, and new subscriber engagement jumped from 23% to 44% in three weeks. Google Analytics confirmed the lift.”
Hiroshi Bae
“Our onboarding completion rate was stuck at 20% until we saw the Google Analytics data inside AlpacaRelay. The system scored our emails at 71/100, with major gaps in Copy Effectiveness and Structural Compliance. We used AlpacaRelay's AI to regenerate the sequence with a 92/100 EQS target. Onboarding completion jumped to 46% within two months, and Google Analytics shows the revenue impact is holding.”
