How to Connect AlpacaRelay to Google Analytics
Create Your AlpacaRelay Account
Sign up for a free AlpacaRelay account at alpacarelay.com. No credit card is required. Once you complete email verification, you'll land in the dashboard. From here, navigate to Settings > Integrations to begin connecting your first platform. This step takes less than two minutes and establishes the foundation for all downstream data syncing and email generation.
Navigate to the Google Analytics Integration
In your AlpacaRelay dashboard, go to Settings > Integrations and locate Google Analytics in the available connections list. Click the Google Analytics card and select Connect. You'll be prompted to choose which Google Analytics property (web stream) you want to sync with AlpacaRelay. If you manage multiple properties, you can connect them sequentially. AlpacaRelay uses OAuth 2.0 authentication, which means you authorize the connection directly through your Google account without sharing passwords.
Authorize OAuth Permissions
You'll be redirected to the Google login screen. Sign in with the Google account that has administrative access to your Google Analytics property. Google will then ask you to approve the following permissions: read access to Google Analytics data (including user demographics, traffic source, device data, and custom event properties), and read access to your Google account email. AlpacaRelay requests only read-level access—it cannot modify your analytics data or settings. Once approved, you'll return to the AlpacaRelay dashboard where the connection is now active.
Map Analytics Data to Email Segments
After authorization, AlpacaRelay begins syncing your Google Analytics data in real-time. You'll see a data mapping interface where you can define which analytics events and user attributes trigger email campaigns. For example, you can map users who visited your pricing page (event: page_view with page_title containing 'pricing') to a pricing-focused nurture sequence, or segment by device type, traffic source, or custom event properties. Set up at least one segment to activate your first automated campaign. Data syncing typically completes within 5 minutes, and you'll see a green status indicator once analytics events are flowing into AlpacaRelay.
Create Your First Quality-Scored Email and Activate Automations
With your analytics data now available in AlpacaRelay, create your first email campaign. Use the AI-powered email builder to compose a message targeting one of your new segments (e.g., users who visited your pricing page but did not convert). Before sending, AlpacaRelay automatically scores your email across the 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework—evaluating deliverability compliance, mobile rendering, CTA clarity, personalization depth, visual hierarchy, copy effectiveness, brand consistency, and structural compliance. Your email receives an Email Quality Score (EQS) out of 10. Emails scoring 8+ are optimized for inbox placement and engagement. Once you approve, enable the automation trigger, and your campaign goes live. From this point forward, any user matching your segment will automatically receive your quality-scored email within minutes of the triggering event.
