How to Connect AlpacaRelay to Salesforce

Create Your Free AlpacaRelay Account

Start by signing up for AlpacaRelay at no cost—no credit card required. Visit alpacarelay.com and click Sign Up. Enter your email, create a password, and confirm your email address. You'll land in the AlpacaRelay dashboard within seconds. This account is your hub for all email campaigns, quality scoring, and integrations. Keep your login credentials secure; you'll use them to authorize the Salesforce connection in the next step.

Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Salesforce

Once logged in, click the Settings icon (gear) in the left navigation menu. Select Integrations from the dropdown. Scroll to find Salesforce in the list of available platforms and click Connect. You'll see a blue Authorize button. Click it to proceed to Salesforce's OAuth login screen.

Authorize AlpacaRelay in Your Salesforce Org

You'll be redirected to your Salesforce login page. Enter your Salesforce admin credentials. Salesforce will then display a permission screen titled 'AlpacaRelay Requests Access.' Review the requested scopes (Contacts, Opportunities, Accounts, Custom Fields). Click Allow. You'll be redirected back to AlpacaRelay with a confirmation message: 'Salesforce connected successfully.' Your connection is now live.

Map Salesforce Fields to Email Segments

In the AlpacaRelay dashboard, go to Integrations > Salesforce > Data Mapping. You'll see a list of Salesforce fields available for use: Contact Name, Email, Phone, Account Name, Industry, Opportunity Stage, Lead Source, and any custom fields you've defined in Salesforce. For restaurants specifically, common fields include: Restaurant Name (Account), Location, Revenue Stage (Opportunity), and Reservation Volume (custom field). Check which fields you want to use in email campaigns. AlpacaRelay's AI will use these fields to generate personalized email content and segment your audience. Click Save Mapping when done.

Click New Campaign in the AlpacaRelay dashboard. Choose Salesforce as the data source. Select your audience: for example, 'All Contacts' or 'Contacts in Closed-Won Opportunities.'
