How to Connect AlpacaRelay to WooCommerce
Create Your AlpacaRelay Account
Visit AlpacaRelay.com and sign up for a free account. No credit card is required. You'll receive instant access to the dashboard and integrations marketplace. Once logged in, navigate to Settings in the left sidebar, then select Integrations. This is where you'll manage all platform connections and monitor sync status in real time.
Generate and Copy Your WooCommerce API Keys
Log in to your WooCommerce store admin. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API. Click 'Create an Application' and name it 'AlpacaRelay.' Set Permissions to 'Read' for Products, Orders, and Customers (WooCommerce restricts write access for security). Copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret — you'll need both. Store these securely; they will not display again after you leave the page.
Authorize AlpacaRelay in WooCommerce Settings
Return to AlpacaRelay Settings > Integrations and select WooCommerce from the marketplace. Paste your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret into the designated fields. Enter your WooCommerce store URL (e.g., yourstore.com). Click 'Authorize' — AlpacaRelay will verify the connection and begin a one-time handshake with your WooCommerce database. This typically completes in 30-45 seconds. You'll see a green 'Connected' status once successful.
Map Your Data Fields and Enable Sync
Once authorized, AlpacaRelay displays a data mapping screen showing all available WooCommerce fields. By default, it syncs Customers (name, email, phone, billing address), Orders (order ID, date, total, status, items purchased), Products (SKU, title, price, category, images), and Custom Fields if any exist. Review the mapping to ensure it matches your needs. Enable 'Real-Time Sync' to receive order and customer updates via webhook (recommended for travel businesses tracking booking changes). Data syncs immediately after you click 'Enable' — no backfill delay.
Create Your First Quality-Scored Email Campaign
Return to the AlpacaRelay dashboard Home tab and click 'Create Campaign.' Select 'WooCommerce' as your data source. Choose a use case template: Abandoned Booking (for incomplete travel reservations), Post-Booking Confirmation (with itinerary details), Review Request (after trip completion), or Browse Abandonment (customers viewed but didn't book). AlpacaRelay's AI engine automatically populates the email with synced customer and booking data, generates a subject line, and optimizes copy for mobile rendering. Review the preview, then click 'Score & Send.'
