How to Connect AlpacaRelay to Zapier
Create Your Free AlpacaRelay Account
Visit alpacarelay.com and sign up for a free account with your email address. No credit card is required. Once confirmed, you'll land in your dashboard. This account is your hub for connecting Zapier and any other platforms in your travel business tech stack. You're building consistency from the start by choosing a single quality-scoring email platform rather than juggling multiple vendors.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Zapier
In your AlpacaRelay dashboard, go to Settings in the left sidebar. Select Integrations, then find Zapier in the list of available platforms. Click Connect. AlpacaRelay will display your unique API key and webhook URL. Copy both—you'll need them in Zapier. This step establishes the bidirectional bridge between your travel workflows and AlpacaRelay's email engine.
Authorize AlpacaRelay in Your Zapier Account
Log into Zapier and create a new Zap (or edit an existing one). Search for AlpacaRelay as an action. Select Send Email with Quality Scoring. When prompted, paste your AlpacaRelay API key and webhook URL from Step 2. Zapier will confirm the connection immediately. You now have real-time, event-driven email capabilities. When a Zapier trigger fires—a new booking, a customer review request, a flight price drop—AlpacaRelay receives the signal instantly.
Map Your Travel Data and Create Your First Email
In your Zapier action, map the data fields from your trigger to AlpacaRelay email fields. For example: if your trigger is New Booking in your reservations system, map booking_id, guest_name, travel_date, destination, and confirmation_number to AlpacaRelay's recipient name, email address, and dynamic content blocks. AlpacaRelay accepts up to 50 custom fields per email. Then write your email body, subject line, and preview text. Use placeholders like {{guest_name}} and {{destination}} for personalization. The system auto-detects these and will insert real data at send time.
Activate Quality Scoring and Send Your Test
Before going live, enable the Email Quality Score (EQS) review option in your Zapier action. This runs your email through AlpacaRelay's 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework—assessing deliverability, mobile render, CTA clarity, personalization depth, visual hierarchy, copy effectiveness, brand consistency, and structural compliance. Send a test to yourself and review the quality score report. Once you confirm the score meets your standards (aim for 8+/10), toggle the Zap to Live. From that moment, every email triggered through Zapier is quality-scored before reaching your guests. Your travel business now sends emails with the same rigor as enterprise hotel chains, but with the speed of automation.
