How to Connect AlpacaRelay to Squarespace
Create Your Free AlpacaRelay Account
Start by visiting AlpacaRelay and signing up for a free account. No credit card is required. Enter your email, create a password, and confirm your account through the verification link sent to your inbox. Once logged in, you'll land on the dashboard where you can manage integrations, create campaigns, and monitor email performance. This initial step takes less than two minutes and establishes your branded IP environment — all emails you create will be automatically scored against the 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework from day one.
Navigate to Integrations and Select Squarespace
From your AlpacaRelay dashboard, click Settings in the left sidebar, then select Integrations. Browse the available platform list and locate Squarespace. Click the Squarespace tile to begin the connection process. You'll be prompted to authorize AlpacaRelay to access your Squarespace store data. This authorization uses OAuth 2.0, which means AlpacaRelay requests only the specific permissions needed to sync your customer contacts, product information, and order history — nothing more. You remain in full control of what data is shared and can revoke access at any time from your Squarespace security settings.
Authorize AlpacaRelay and Configure Data Sync
Click Authorize on the Squarespace integration panel. You'll be redirected to your Squarespace admin login. Sign in with your Squarespace credentials and review the permissions AlpacaRelay is requesting: read access to customer contacts, product catalog, order history, and cart data. Approve the authorization. AlpacaRelay will immediately begin syncing your data in real-time via webhook connections — this means new orders, abandoned carts, and customer updates flow into AlpacaRelay automatically without any polling overhead that could slow your store. Configuration is instant; there is no performance impact on your Squarespace storefront. Data sync typically completes within 5-10 minutes for your first historical import.
Map Your Data Fields and Create Your First Quality-Scored Email
Once sync is complete, navigate to Campaigns and click Create New Email. AlpacaRelay's AI automatically maps common Squarespace fields to email variables: customer name, product names, cart abandonment timestamps, order totals, and purchase history. Review the mapped fields to ensure accuracy — customize any field names if needed. Then select a template or start from blank and compose your first email. For example, create an abandoned cart recovery email that automatically pulls the abandoned product name, price, and a personalized discount code. As you build, AlpacaRelay analyzes your email against all 8 dimensions of the Email Quality Framework: Deliverability (SPF/DKIM compliance), Mobile Render (responsive design), CTA Clarity (button placement and copy), Personalization Depth (dynamic content usage), Visual Hierarchy (layout structure), Copy Effectiveness (readability and tone), Brand Consistency (logo/color alignment), and Structural Compliance (HTML validity). Your email receives a real-time EQS score out of 10.
Review Your Email Quality Score and Activate Your First Campaign
Before sending, review your email's EQS score displayed in the Quality Score panel. The score shows which dimensions are strong and which need improvement. For example, if Mobile Render scores 7/10, AlpacaRelay suggests specific fixes like increasing button padding or adjusting font sizes. Make any recommended edits to improve your score toward 8+/10 — emails scoring EQS 8 or higher recover 14-18% of abandoned carts versus the 5-11% industry average. Once satisfied with your score, set your recipient segment (all Squarespace customers, or filter by cart abandonment, purchase history, etc.), choose a send time, and click Activate. Your first campaign is now live. From this point forward, every abandoned cart, post-purchase follow-up, or re-engagement email is automatically quality-scored before delivery, ensuring consistent brand impact and maximum revenue recovery from your Squarespace integration.
