AlpacaRelay + Zapier: Quality-Scored Emails, Connected

Start by signing up for AlpacaRelay at no cost—no credit card required. Visit the AlpacaRelay homepage and click Sign Up. Enter your email, create a password, and confirm your email address. Once verified, you'll land in the AlpacaRelay dashboard. This account is your hub for all integrations, email campaigns, and quality-scoring controls. The entire process takes under 2 minutes.

From your AlpacaRelay dashboard, go to Settings > Integrations > Zapier. Click the blue Connect button. AlpacaRelay will present you with an OAuth authorization screen asking for permission to read and write Zap data (trigger events, task history, and webhook payloads). Review the requested permissions—AlpacaRelay requires read access to Zap output data and write access to trigger email sends from Zapier workflows. Click Authorize. You'll be redirected back to AlpacaRelay with a confirmation message: 'Zapier connected successfully.'

Next, define which Zapier trigger data maps to your email. In the Zapier integration panel, you'll see a data mapping interface. Select your trigger source (e.g., 'Form submission in Typeform,' 'New customer in Stripe,' or 'New row in Google Sheets'). AlpacaRelay auto-detects available fields from your Zap—common fields include first_name, email, health_goal, subscription_status, and event_type. Drag fields into the email template placeholders: {first_name}, {email}, {health_goal}. This ensures each Zap trigger automatically populates the correct recipient and personalization data. Save your field mapping.

With data mapped, click Create Campaign. Choose a template or start from blank. For health and wellness contexts, AlpacaRelay provides templates for welcome emails (new client registration), appointment reminders (fitness/nutrition coaching), post-session follow-ups, and product recommendations (supplements, wellness tools). Write or paste your subject line and email body. Use the mapped fields in your copy—e.g., 'Hi {first_name}, here are wellness tips matched to your {health_goal}.' AlpacaRelay's AI assistant can suggest personalized subject lines (research shows AI-generated lines improve open rates by up to 22% compared to manual versions). Preview the email and click Save Draft.

Before your campaign goes live, AlpacaRelay runs every email through the 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework—a proprietary analysis covering Deliverability, Mobile Render, CTA Clarity, Personalization Depth, Visual Hierarchy, Copy Effectiveness, Brand Consistency, and Structural Compliance. Your email receives an Email Quality Score (EQS) out of 10. If your score is 7 or higher, the campaign is pre-approved for send. If lower, AlpacaRelay flags specific issues (e.g., 'Subject line too long for mobile,' 'CTA button not mobile-optimized') with one-click fixes. Once your email reaches EQS 7+, click Activate. Your Zapier Zap now triggers this quality-scored email automatically. The first email sends within 60 seconds of the trigger event.
