AlpacaRelay + WordPress: Quality-Scored Emails, Connected

Visit AlpacaRelay.com and sign up for a free account. No credit card required. You'll receive instant access to the dashboard where all integrations are managed. During signup, you'll choose your workspace name and set your first user email. This email becomes your account administrator and the default sender for your first campaign. Once verified, you'll land on the integrations dashboard ready to connect WordPress.

In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Settings > AlpacaRelay Integration (or install the AlpacaRelay plugin from the WordPress plugin directory if not already present). Generate a new API key with read/write permissions. This key authorizes AlpacaRelay to access your WordPress contact lists, post data, and user metadata. Copy the full key to your clipboard. For security, WordPress will only display the key once, so store it safely. The API key uses OAuth 2.0 authentication and does not require you to share your WordPress password with AlpacaRelay.

Return to AlpacaRelay and navigate to Settings > Integrations > WordPress. Paste your API key into the connection field and click Authorize. AlpacaRelay will verify the connection in 15-30 seconds and display available data sources: WordPress users, contact form submissions, WooCommerce customers (if active), and custom post metadata. Select which data to sync by checking the corresponding boxes. For professional services, most teams sync WordPress user records (including name, email, role, registration date, and custom fields like service interest or company size). Choose between real-time sync (webhooks triggered on user signup or form submission) or daily batch sync. Real-time is recommended for welcome campaigns and immediate follow-ups.

Once data syncing begins, click Create Campaign > Email from Template. AlpacaRelay's AI assistant will analyze your synced WordPress contacts and suggest a first campaign type based on your data: welcome series for new users, nurture sequence for inactive leads, or service inquiry follow-up. Choose a template or start from blank. Insert dynamic fields pulled from your WordPress data ({{first_name}}, {{service_interest}}, {{company}}, etc.). The template editor includes real-time preview on mobile and desktop. Write your subject line, and AlpacaRelay will AI-generate 3 alternatives with performance predictions based on your audience segment.

Before sending, AlpacaRelay scans your email across the 8-Dimension Email Quality Framework (Deliverability, Mobile Render, CTA Clarity, Personalization Depth, Visual Hierarchy, Copy Effectiveness, Brand Consistency, and Structural Compliance). Your email receives an Email Quality Score (EQS) from 1-10. Emails scoring 8+/10 are optimized for inbox placement and engagement. If your score is below 8, AlpacaRelay highlights specific issues (e.g., unresponsive mobile layout, low personalization depth, CTA not scannable) with actionable fixes. Once you approve, select your audience segment from synced WordPress contacts, set send time, and click Send. The email is delivered in real-time with full tracking: opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes sync back to your WordPress dashboard.
